Dog Obedience Training For All Levels

At 3 Counties Dog Training, we know that not everyone wants a Crufts obedience champion, and while we can develop your training to whatever level you require, we fully recognise that many people just want a good standard of pet obedience. Many people find that when they have mastered the basics, they become more enthusiastic and want to do more, but they are never put under pressure to do so. We always cater our dog obedience training to your own personal requirements.

Types Of Dog Training We Offer

We have five classes: puppy socialising, rescue and older dog assessment; and three further mainstream classes. Our dog obedience classes are structured to ensure that students in every class are of a similar level and progressing comfortably at their own pace. Our experienced and friendly team is available to help and guide you through every stage of training. Our puppy training classes are fun and we pride ourselves on the high percentage of students who come to us on the recommendation of other satisfied dog owners - both past and present - who have or are currently training with us.

About Our Classes In Detail

Puppy socialisation classes in Camberley
Our puppy socialisation and puppy training classes provide an excellent opportunity for your young dog to socialise correctly with other dogs and people, but respond to you when you want them to. You will learn many useful hints and tips to ensure that you enjoy your puppy to the full. Our experienced instructors will assist you in understanding your young companion, and to be one step ahead; recognising signs that could manifest themselves into habits that you would prefer them not to have.
Special classes for rescue and older dogs
There is absolutely no truth in the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks". The majority of dogs are willing and anxious to please their owners and indeed, brain stimulation created by a good training schedule is an essential part of rescue dog training. It is not only rescue dogs that sometimes need training classes. Older dogs often become confused by the efforts of several members of the family trying to succeed in training them with a multitude of commands, rewards and praise at the wrong time; with nobody there to jump out of the pages of the book they bought to show them where they are going wrong.
Puppy Home Start service
It is vitally important to get your new puppy inoculated and checked over by your vet. During the first few weeks in your home, your puppy will be settling in and finding his feet. This is a very important learning time for your canine companion. Our well-established canine training school in Surrey can help you to achieve a high standard of pet obedience. This starts some weeks after your new puppy arrives at home. Our HomeStart service involves a home visit with you, your puppy and your family. Our consultant will provide you with an information pack and cover everything from toilet training to the early prevention of many habitual problems, such as chewing and jumping up. You will learn how to get your dog used to being handled correctly without rebelling. Also, you will be shown a variety of ideal toys and products that assist in the prevention of habitual problems. An essential part of this session is the teaching of your pup, using methods which train without the puppy even realising that it is being trained. Getting it right from day one is far better than having to continually correct behavioural problems that have manifested themselves in the early days, often without owners realising what is happening.

TESTIMONIALS
“I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I took my dog initially to the puppy socialisation class aged 4 months. I thought I would just do 1 set of lessons to get to know the basics and how to be a responsible dog owner. Bob Lucas is amazing. He totally understands all breeds of dog, how to handle them and get the best from both dog and owner! I learned so much from that first set of lessons - and both my dog and I enjoyed it so much we went on to do further courses! My dog was so well behaved and people always commented on what a good girl she was when we were out. After having my first child, Bob was very willing to help me help my dog adjust to having a baby in the house. I had actually finished the courses by then, but he had no issue with talking to me over the phone and his advice was so valuable to helping us all adjust to the new home situation. If you are considering dog training, you won't find better than this company!"
